PowerComm Solutions is the North American Distributor for the JDSU/Acterna/Wandel & Goltermann (W&G) SPM Series of frequency selective level meters. These hand-held units have been providing measurement solutions to the electric utility industry for over 20 years and are proven accurate and reliable. Acterna chose PowerComm because of our understanding of Power Line Carrier systems and why a quality frequency selective level meter is required to service and maintain these systems.

The SPM Series equipment is versatile enough to provide measurement solutions for many of the different mediums used in system protection today. The following are just a few of its many enhanced features:

-Frequency Search-Unlike many of the existing Selective Level Meters still being used today, the SPM Series will search for frequencies based on a reference level that you can set.
-Wide-Band Mode (Flat Meter) At the push of the button, the unit is converted into a wide band meter.
-Frequency Ranges permit support of multiple communication systems SPM-32A – 50 Hz to 620 KHz (Primarily for PLC and Audio Tone Measurements), SPM-33A; 50Hz to 2MHz, SPM-36A – 50 Hz to 3.5 MHz (Can be used for PLC, Audio Tones and Baseband Microwave Measurements)
-Hand Held Not as bulky as some of the PLC test equipment currently in use.
-Operates on standard 9V alkaline batteries. NiMh rechargeable batteries are available for maximum field usage.
